October 29, 2014 – Wildlife Park about 150 miles west of
Sydney. After getting lost a few times,
we were able to find the park which was awesome. Saw animals that we had never seen before and
were able to get up close in a non-crowded place. Afterwards, we headed to our hotel which was
not any easier to find. The maps that
they have here leave a lot to be desired.
We did stay at the Waldorf and had dinner at the country club next door.

October 30, 2014 – Stayed another night at the Waldorf so
that we can go to the Blue Mountains National Park today. Toured the area and went to Scenic World for
the best views of the area along trails, on an incline railway, a tram and a
skyway. Beautiful place. Views of the three sisters mountains.

October 31, 2014 – Went to Janolan Caves today. Interesting place that is quite similar to
Mammoth caves in Kentucky. The area is
quite quaint. Not very easy to get to as
it is on a mountain road that in places is just big enough for one
vehicle. Challenging when someone comes
from the other direction. It does not
help that I have not yet fully gotten used to driving on the left side of the
road. After leaving the caves we went a
different route that was even more challenging.
Drove about 5 hours north to Coffs Harbor.
Quaint little town at Janolan caves.

November 1, 2014 - Spent only a short time in Coffs Harbor
as it was primarily an overnight rest stop.
Nice place on the ocean.
November 2 – 7, 2014 – Coolanggatta, Queensland. We stayed on the beach in an apartment on the
11th floor that had a balcony overlooking the ocean. Great place just south of Brisbane and less
crowded. ,We could spend a long time here. Love the city, the ocean, the views, the weather and the apartment.

November 7-9, 2014 - Arrived in Maroochydore, Queensland today at another beach view apartment. As usual, great weather and it was another uncrowded beach.

November 9, 2014 - Drove about 400 miles up the coast to Bundaberg, Queensland for an overnight rest. Nothing exciting here.
November 10, 2014 - Drove over 500 miles further up the coast to Airlies Beach, Queensland. Staying in a harbor view apartment with a large balcony with a hot tub on the balcony. Quaint town that appears to attract a lot younger travelers as it is a very action oriented activity town especially with the Great Barrier Reef near the town. The reef is only about 30 miles offshore, which is relatively close for this 1,500 mile long reef. Will update and add photos to this town in the next posting.
